As the nation continues to battle with unemployment, the national youth service scheme continues to train youths for the work ahead. With over 175,000 corps members currently participating in the 1 year mandatory national youth service, what does the future holds for them as there are no new companies while the old ones are daily retrenching workers due to the high maintaince of business in Nigeria due to epileptic power supply, bad roads, non-availability of water and a host of other daunting challenges.
What is needed now is the cooperation of all and sundry on how to survive not even how do one find job? The Ogun International career market,(OGIOCM),is a career building programme designed to rescue frustrated youths from the clutches of unemployment and how to turn idea without money to small business and how to turn money into idea that sucks poverty. The programme has been designed in a way that only people who are ready to break free are the one that will benefit from the programme.
The career fair will have the deputy Governor of central bank, MR TUNDE LEMO present a keynote address on Opening new grounds: breaking the barriers of unemployment through sustainable development and will be chaired by Alh. Adegbenga kaka, a serving senator and former Depuy Governor of Ogun state, Prof Raheem Bello, Mr. Lekan Otufodunrin, Mr. Gbenga Adeyinka, Sir prince Niyi Olatidoye and Mr Seyi law will grace the occasion.
The event which is scheduled to hold at the main Auditorium, University of Lagos on June 13,2013 is targeted at training the following ,undergraduates, Post graduates, National Youth service scheme corps members, Interns, graduates and other categories will have experienced scholars whom will help in the area of employment generation.
Highlight of the event include selection of participants to support their business idea through the joint programme of the incubation center that has placeed host to so many business.Lucky dip also available to participants and various gift to be won.
